Getting into the Christmas Spirit: Chicago Symphony Orchestra

All the holiday cheer is in the air! This past Friday, December 15, I attended Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Merry, Merry Chicago. It was a heartwarming concert of holiday favorites complete with a visit by Santa. Plus, the Chicago Children’s Choir were helping sing some holiday classics. One of my favorite parts was when the conductor invited the audience to stand up and sing. I’ve been busy lately juggling errands and day-to-day responsibilities that it took me more time this year to get into the spirit of Christmas. This concert reminded me what the season is all about.
One of the highlights of the evening was a preconcert networking reception hosted by CSO Latino Alliance. I indulged in a glass of Chardonnay and small bites as I met and mingled with other members. The CSO Latino Alliance is a group of Latino professionals that love music and help to engage the broader Chicago Latino community with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. CSO Latino hosts unique social networking events featuring CSO musicians and guest artists.  Be sure to join the group and have the opportunity to attend concerts at a discount rate and expand your professional contacts.

I hope you’re feeling all warm and fuzzy preparing for the holidays. There’s so much to be excited about and a plethora of winter activities to do. Share below how you are getting into the Christmas spirit – after all it’s the most wonderful time of the year 🙂
